Lucy Graves McVicker
Lucy Graves McVicker studied art at The Principia College, Rutgers University
and Parsons School of Design. Since 1986, her paintings have been shown in over
60 exhibitions, 40 of them in juried competitions - both national and state-wide,
and she has been given awards in 18 of these shows, including the Bristol-Myers
Squibb Purchase Award.
Her work
is based on her love of nature. It is often semi-abstract and creative in its
use of materials. A recent trip to Myanmar (Burma) is a recent inspiration.
She has had numerous one and two person shows in various galleries, including
Rider University, and is at present represented by The Coryell Gallery in Lambertville,
New Jersey.
She is an active art teacher and juror and her works are included in numerous
public and private collections including Johnson and Johnson, DuPont Corporation,
Capital Health System, ADP Corporation, the New Jersey State Council of the Arts,
and Princeton University.
